Mathura, May 17 (PTI) Two bandits were killed in a police encounter at Kosi Kalan area here in the wee hours today. "Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the duo who were fleeing with a looted vehicle near Kotban outpost, following which they fired at the security personnel. In the ensuing encounter the bandits were killed," SP (rural) Radhey Mohan Bharadwaj said. Two country-made pistols and cartridges were recovered from their possession, he said. "While one of the bandit has been identified as Naseer, efforts are on to identify the other," the SP said.
