Lucknow, May 10 (PTI) Expelled SP leader Amar Singh today said close friend Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya will not join his party which will take shape by 2012 UP Assembly elections. "Sooner or later this forum (Lok Manch) would turn political and I have no interest in inviting Amitabh into politics," Singh told reporters here. He was asked whether Amitabh Bachchan would join Lok Manch. Singh said that Amitabh was not involved in politics. On SP MP Jaya Bachchan, Singh said that she had already spelt her political affiliation and he honoured her decision. Gearing up for the Assembly polls, he said Lok Manch, an apolitical organisation floated by him in January, would "sooner or later merge in the main political stream. "We would not stay away from politics," said Singh, 54, who was expelled from Samajwadi Party in February days after he floated Lok Manch following differences with party leadership. There were apparent strains in ties between Amar Singh and the Bachchan family after Jaya, who has been close to Singh, did not quit SP following his expulsion. Earlier addressing a workers convention, Singh attacked SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. "He did not say anything against me and had asked party workers to keep mum not due to any love for me, but because of their personal interest," he said. Singh claimed that while SP leaders had accused him of making fake CDs, he had a CD which was the "lone proof" of Mulayam innocence in disproportionate assets case. "If that CD is fake then the SP leader would land in the jail," he said. While announcing names for Uttar Pradesh unit of the Lok Manch, Singh said that a national committee headed by a former SP leader Obedullah Azmi was being constituted which would finalise the political shape of the organisation. "The committee, which would include Jaya Prada, Sanjay Dutt, Manoj Tiwari and other leaders including me, would prepare a political roadmap of the organisation for future," he told reporters. He said that the organisation would be given a shape on the lines on V P Singh led Jan Morcha, an apolitical organisation, which finally ventured into politics. "While Jan Morcha took one year to turn political, we are only three months old and still have nine months left," he said. Singh said that the forum would make efforts to bring most backwards and Muslims in the political mainstream. He said that by 2012 state assembly eletion the Manch would have its own flag and agenda.
