Bakery and dairy products maker Britannia Industries Ltd is planning to expand manufacturing capacity in bakery products by setting up one or two new plants, a top official said on Friday."We are enhancing capacity in our existing plants and it is quite likely in this year we may look at 1-2 greenfield projects..it will be in bakery products," Vinita Bali, managing director, told Reuters. The firm has earmarked a capital expenditure of 700-800 million rupees in FY11 for the expansion, Bali added.The firm late on Thursday posted a 32 percent drop in net profit to 1.03 billion rupees and saw a modest 10 percent growth to 37.7 billion rupees in FY10 from the same period a year earlier.(Reporting by Nandita Bose; Editing by Sunil Nair)(For more business news on Reuters India click http://in.reuters.com)
