BSE Sensex to tread water; metals, RCom watched

MUMBAI (Reuters) The BSE Sensex is set to open flat to lower on Tuesday, taking cues from mixed Asian equities, as worries over euro zone's fiscal health continued to haunt investors.Metals stocks such as Sterlite Industries, Hindalco and Tata Steel will be in focus after London copper futures rebounded more than one percent.Reliance Communications will be watched after the second-largest mobile operator said it expects the "hyper competition" phase in the sector to continue for now, after hefty fall in call charges led to the third-straight quarterly profit decline.The MSCI's measure of Asian markets other than Japan was down 0.4 percent by 0251 GMT, while Japan's Nikkei climbed 0.5 percent.The Nifty India stock futures in Singapore were down 0.5 percent.On Monday, the 30-share BSE index closed 0.9 percent lower at 16,835.56 points.(For more business news on Reuters Money visit http://www.reutersmoney.in)
