Bridgetown, May 17 -- While Mahendra Singh Dhoni had a raging fire to contend with after India crashed out of the ICC World Twenty20, Michael Clarke found himself in a completely different position. The Australian captain, who led the red-hot team of the tournament with aplomb before falling to old foes England in the final, was quick to admit that his form had been well below acceptable levels. Clarke only managed 92 runs all tournament, at an average of just over 15. The 27 he made in the final was Clarke's highest score of the tournament, and he was remarkably candid when asked about his performances. "There's no doubt that the selectors will need to have a look at my performances," he said. "I certainly know they haven't been up to scratch through this whole tournament and probably in Twenty20 cricket in general. "I'm sure the selectors will sit down and have a look if I'm the right guy for No. 3 and the captaincy and then they'll make that decision." But Clarke, who has been earmarked for the Australian full captaincy, and currently leads only the T20 team, is unlikely to be replaced any time in the near future."I'm stoked to have been given this opportunity to lead the Twenty20 team. There are no guarantees in this world and it's about getting back and preparing for the next tournament. I'll be back as vice-captain which I really enjoy and we have a wonderful leader in Ricky Ponting back in Australia."
