Shimla, May 10 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh Monday decided to allot 54 small and mini hydroelectric projects to various companies to tap additional sources of energy, an official said here.'The cabinet today (Monday) decided to invite bids for 54 small and mini projects identified by Himurja (state energy development agency) across the state. These projects have a combined generation capacity of 132 MW,' a government spokesperson told IANS.He said the government also took the decision to allot 15 self-identified hydro projects below 3 MW.Himachal Pradesh has abundant water resources with a power potential of about 23,000 MW. About 6,480 MW have been harnessed till now by the central and state governments, private players and joint venture companies.
