Jharkhand stalemate ends, BJP to lead state`s coalition govt

New Delhi, May 08(ANI): Ending a fortnight-long stalemate, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday agreed to form a BJP-led government in the state. Speaking to reporters, Hemant Soren said that the JMM has decided to form the government under the BJP in order to prevent the Congress plans to impose President's Rule in the state. The decision was arrived at a meeting attended by BJP President Nitin Gadkari, senior party leader Ananth Kumar, Jharkhand deputy chief minister Raghubar Das, JMM Legislature Party leader Hemant Soren and AJSU President Sudesh Mahato in new Delhi today.
