Lalit Modi was the key issue in BCCI-IMG meeting

Mumbai, May 17 -- The meeting between senior functionaries of the BCCI and those from the IMG, the event managers of the IPL, on Monday went along expected lines. The BCCI focused on cross-checking the facts provided by Lalit Modi, the suspended IPL chairman. A three-member IMG delegation, including Andrew Wildblood, senior vice-president, met senior BCCI officials. A top BCCI official confirmed that Modi remained the crux of the meeting. "The Board wants to verify a lot of the details provided by Lalit. Since IMG has played an instrumental role in the success of IPL, they were asked for a lot of documents, which could help the BCCI zero in on Modi's discrepancies, if any, in the running of the IPL," the official said."Amin was keen to meet IMG officials and wanted to have an idea about all things last year and it was a productive meeting," Shetty said. If the BCCI would have been successful in generating more evidence against Modi during the meeting, it would surely be more than productive.
