Mummyji livid after MP hits out at Brown

London, May 5 -- Beware the wrath of a woman scorned - especially if she's your mother, an Indian and you've been publicly attacking the leader of her party. Manish Sood, an Indian-origin Labour candidate in the British general election, who described Gordon Brown as the "worst prime minister ever," has just received a slap on the wrist - from his mother. In good old Indian tradition, mum Manjula Sood reacted angrily after Manish - the ruling party's candidate for Norfolk North West - went on television news on Tuesday and said, "I could do a better job than him [Brown]! He needs to go on holiday and give me a chance to take over." "I believe Gordon Brown has been the worst prime minister we have had in this country," he told a newspaper. "It is a disgrace and he owes an apology to the people and the Queen." Brown was too busy campaigning to respond to the youngish (age 38) pretender's comments. Not so mum, who was livid."My late husband gave his life to the Labour party and my loyalty is to the party, and to what Gordon Brown has done for the country," added Manjula.
