New Delhi, May 10 (PTI) President Pratibha Patil has condoled the death of Acharya Mahapragya, the 10th Acharya of Jain Swetambar Terapanth Samaj. 90-year-old Acharya died yesterday at Sardarshehar in Churu district of Rajasthan. In her message, Patil described him as a great sage and philosopher who gave a new direction to the Anuvrat movement and spread the message of non-violence, peace and harmony across the country. The aim of the movement was to create a non-violent socio-political world order with the help of a worldwide network of self-transformed people. Acharya had traversed more than 1,00,000 kms on foot covering over 10,000 villages spreading the message of harmony and peace.
