Two arrested with heroin in Delhi

New Delhi, May 17 (PTI) Two young men were arrested in the national capital allegedly with over one kg of heroin worth around Rs one crore in the international market, police said today. The arrested have been identified as Rahul Kumar (26), hailing from Siliguri in West Bengal and Lucky (30) from Punjab''s Amritsar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Jaspal Singh said. The duo were apprehended on Saturday night from near Chawri Bazar Metro Station on a tip-off. Police recovered 1.006 kg of heroin allegedly from them. "They had come in contact with one Symond who had supplied heroine in a Guest House of Paharganj. Symond is living somewhere in Meerut and he used to call them over phone from telephone booths. They used to meet in different places of the capital," Singh said. Kumar used to work as a service attendant in hotels and guest houses in Karol Bagh and Paharganj while Lucky is a driver and used to drop the passengers in different hotels where he came in contact with the former.
