New Delhi, June 16 (PTI) Sugar prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today on ample supply amid reduced offtake. However, sugar mill delivery prices maintained their overnight levels on some support. Marketmen said ample supply against reduced offtake by retailers and bulk consumers, such as soft drink and ice cream makers, kept prices at lower levels. They said activity at sugar mill gates was restricted and prices were quoted at last levels. Sugar ready medium grade prices fell from Rs 2,750-2,900 to settle at Rs 2,750-2,850 per quintal. Sugar second grade variety also dropped from Rs 2,740- 2,890 to Rs 2,740-2,840 per quintal. Following are today''s rates in Rs per quintal: Sugar ready M-30 2,750-2,850 and S-30 2,740-2,840. Mill delivery M-30 2,600-2,700 and S-30 2,575-2675. Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,800, Asmoli 2,785, Mawana 2,700, Titabi 2,700, Thanabhavan 2,675, Budhana 2,670 and Dorala 2,680.
