46 killed in landslide in Myanmar

Yangon, June 17 (IANS) At least 46 people were killed and four injured in a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Myanmar in the past four days, state media reported Thursday.Heavy rains and strong wind, that swept Myanmar's western Rakhine state since the weekend, damaged houses, roads and bridges in five major cities, Xinhua reported citing the official daily New Light of Myanmar.Last month, strong wind struck Myanmar's Mandalay and Sagaing divisions, killing two women and destroying hundreds of buildings.
