New Delhi, May 9 -- A 21-year-old airman was allegedly robbed of his cash and ATM card by four men posing as Crime Branch officers, police said. The accused also conned the airman, identified as Bihari Singh, into revealing the PIN number of his ATM card. Singh, who is posted at the Indian Air Force (IAF) installation at Tezpur in Assam, had reached the Nizamuddin railway station around 4 pm on Sunday, when the four men approached him. "The men asked him to get into their Maruti van, after which they took away his money. On the pretext of checking his service revolver, they asked him to get down the vehicle and fled the scene," said a senior police officer. In a similar incident, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was robbed of Rs 35,000 by three auto-rickshaw-borne men on Bhagwan Dass Road in New Delhi area on Sunday morning, police said."When he asked the people present in the auto, they pushed him off the vehicle and fled. The constable then took the help from a car driver and chased the auto. The auto lost balance after some distance but the accused managed to flee. We are looking into the case," a senior police officer.
