Former France defender Manuel Amoros will become the first foreign coach of the tiny island nation of the Comoros, who are competing in the African Nations Cup qualifiers for the first time.Amoros, 48, who had been working as a consultant with Olympique Marseille, will take charge of his first match in September, the Ligue 1 club said on its website (www.om.net)The islands in the Indian Ocean begin their preliminaries away at Zambia in a qualifying group that also includes Libya and Mozambique.The Comoros have been FIFA members for five years and lost 10-2 on aggregate to Madagascar in an early round play-off match at the start of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.(Editing by Alison WildeyTo query or comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)
