Mumbai, May 9 -- The body of a three-year-old boy was found in a car belonging to a doctor at Ghatkopar on Friday night. The boy had been missing since Friday morning. The victim, Aryan Devel, and his mother, Pinky, had come to Mumbai from Hyderabad to stay with his uncle at Ramabai colony five days ago. Police said Devel went out to play at around 10:15 am on Friday. When he did not return for long and could not be found, his relatives lodged a complaint with the Pant Nagar police. At 9 pm on Friday, the boy was found inside a sedan parked near Sola maternity hospital, about 200 m from the place the boy went missing. The car belongs to Dr Harish Ahir, who owns the hospital. Ahir's daughter, Pallavi, noticed the body when she saw dogs barking near the car. "We then informed the police," Ahir said. The police identified the boy as Devel. Blood was seen oozing from his lips. His mouth was swollen and he had rashes on his back. "A case of murder has been registered against an unknown person," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 7) Rajkumar Vhatkar. The body has been sent to JJ Hospital for post-mortem and the report is awaited. The police will send the body for forensic tests. Witnesses said Aryan was last seen playing with another three-year-old boy and his father. The father of that child has been missing since the incident and the police are trying to trace him.No arrests have been made yet. "I want my child back. I would have not come here, had I known such a thing will happen to my son," said Pinky.
