New Delhi, May 15 -- The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Saturday filed a chargesheet against two alleged members of the homegrown terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) - Salman Ahmed and Shehzad Ahmed. In the chargesheet, the police said Salman was not present in Delhi on the day of the September 13 serial blasts in Delhi but was aware of the conspiracy. He was arrested near the Indo-Nepal border on March 6 this year - 17 months after the serial blasts in Delhi. He has been described as a "conspirator and recruiter" in the report. Salman had reportedly inducted four Delhi bombers into the outfit after showing them clips of 2002 Gujarat riots and the Babri Masjid demolition, police said. Adept at handling assault weapons such as AK-47 and also assembling bombs with commonly available materials in marketplaces, the police said Salman had assembled all the bombs from his Shaheen Bagh hideout in south Delhi. Police had also recovered a fake Nepalese passport and a health card from UAE from his possession. The police added that he went to Pakistan via Dubai where he received training in arms and ammunitions.
