Criminal`s body found near tracks

News posted by www.newsinfoline.com

Mumbai, May 9 -- The body of a 24-year-old, who had house break-in cases registered against him, was found near a railway track near Antop Hill, on Saturday. Veera Pariyan was a resident of Sion-Koliwada. Police said Pariyan, a caterer, had at least four cases registered against him at Antop Hill police station. Police suspect personal enmity to be the cause of his death. No arrests have been made. On May 5, he left home telling his mother, Vimla Devi (45), he was going for work. When he did not return, his family did not lodge a missing persons' complaint or search for him assuming it was one of his long absences. Pariyan's body was found near the railway track, meters away from his home. "We have conducted a panchnama," said Senior Police Inspector D.N. Deokar. The police found marks on his head and back, which looked like they were inflicted with a sharp object. The body has been sent to Rajawadi hospital for postmortem.
