CSE index jumps 136 points

Kolkata, May 28 (PTI) The Calcutta Stock Exchange today sharply gained momentum in line with other major markets. The CSE-40 index was up 136.41 points on the last trading session. The local bourse ws up by 51.94 points. The index opened at 6783.03 and during the day it scaled higher and closed at 6919.44. The turnover was Rs 7.75 crore from trading of 24 scrips. BHEL was at Rs 2,321.10 to end the week. Blueprint Securities was at Rs 305.80. Bolton Properties was at Rs 390.60. Cipla was Rs 319.15 and Larsen & Toubro was Rs 1,625.90. While, ONGC closed the day at Rs 1,136.65. OMDC was trading at Rs 24,000 at end session. Reliance Industries closed at Rs 1,027.97 and State Bank of India rose to Rs 2,206. SAIL gained sharply to close at Rs 207.15.
