New Delhi, June 20 (PTI) Taking serious note of misuse of land allotted for setting up of factories in industrial estates, Delhi Government has cancelled allotment of plots to three industrial units on recommendation of DSIIDC. These plots are located in Bawana and Narela and were allocated to enable entrepreneurs shift their industries from residential areas to conforming zones. Industry department officials said show cause notices have already been issued to about nine other units that have been found misusing their industrial plots for property dealing activities. Delhi Government, through a legislation, had handed over of maintenance of the industrial estates and four-flated factory units to DSIIDC, the city government''s premier infrastructure development agency. The officials said the government wants to ensure use of industrial plots for the intended purpose and any misuse of the land will not be tolerated. The Delhi Cabinet in April had decided to give six months final time frame to the allottees, who have not set up any industrial units in the land given to them, to establish the units. The government had decided to cancel land allotment to them if they fail to complete setting up of the units by October 31, 2010. Officials said no construction activities had taken place in 8,123 plots given to various people between 1999 to 2006 in the industrial estates across the city. To facilitate construction and relocation, procedures for sanction of building plans and approvals for obtaining loans have been simplified. The government had allotted 22,749 plots between 1999 to 2006 to facilitate relocation of industries from residential areas to conforming zones. To help the allottees set up the industrial units within the deadline, the DSIIDC has given blanket permission to MCD for sanction of building plans without requiring individual no objection certificates from it. Officials said the MCD has already sanctioned building plans for 2,150 industrial units since April 24. They said the financial institutions have also processed about 275 applications for loans to construct factory buildings in the industrial estates.
