Delhi minister denies row with hotel

New Delhi, May 16 (IANS) Delhi Social Welfare Minister Mangat Ram Singhal Sunday denied having a blazing row with the staff of a five-star hotel after which he was reportedly pulled up by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.'I don't know why my name has been dragged into the whole episode. If officials from Delhi government departments went to inquire something from the hotel, why am I being blamed for it?' Singhal told IANS.He insisted that he had not visited Wednesday 'or in recent times' the Maurya Sheraton hotel where a media report said he got into a violent argument with the security staff when they insisted on checking his car.Singhal admitted that Chief Minister Dikshit had inquired about the reported incident from him over telephone.Contacted by IANS, the hotel declined to comment on the alleged incident.
