Providence (Guyana), May 4 (PTI) The Duckworth-Lewis method was not applied when the crucial Twenty20 World Cup Group D match between England and Ireland resumed after almost half-an-hour delay due to rain here today. Earlier, replying to England''s 120 for eight, Ireland were four for no loss in 1.2 overs when rain halted the match. Captain William Porterfield (4 not out) and Paul Stirling (0 not out) were on the crease. England fast bowler Tim Bresnan gave away three runs in the first over and then Ryan Sidebottom was bowling the second over when the downpour started.
