Idukki (Ker), May 10 (PTI) Country-made bombs exploded at a film shooting location in the district today in what was suspected to be a fall out of an ongoing feud between two rival organisations in Malayalam cinema. Two vehicles were damaged but no one was injured in the explosion that took place in the wee hours, police said. The incident took place in front of the Tea Valley hotel at Kuttikkanam hill station where artistes and crew of the film "Admakatha" were camping. Police suspect that the incident could be a reflection of the feud between two rival organisations which are at loggerheads over various issues including demands for better wages and working conditions by film technicians and workers. "I heard a deafening sound in the wee hours. I thought it could be thunder as thundershowers are frequent in the area", a crew member said. Cine Technician''s Association MACTA Federation had recently organised protest marches near shooting locations across the state demanding jobs and better wages to various categories of workers from technicians to drivers. A rival outfit, Film Employees'' Federation of Kerala Association (FEFKA), which has the firm backing of artistes'' body AMMA, has been opposing MACTA''s protest programmes. Voicing concern over the incident, FEFKA General Secretary and Director B Unnikrishnan demanded a probe to bring to book the culprits. Meanwhile, MACTA leader and director Vinayan, who is in Chennai, deplored efforts by certain quarters to blame MACTA for the Kuttikkanam incident.
