Farmers in Ladakh switch to organic farming

News posted by www.newsinfoline.com

Ladhak, May 17 (ANI): Farmers of Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir are switching to organic farming to avoid the usage of pesticides and other chemicals that prove harmful to the ecosystem. Organic farmers aim to grow local products without using pesticides, and they try to use the land in such a way that it can be reused, which is not always possible when agriculture is too chemical-dependent. In Ladakh, organic farming is the only form of agriculture that respects Ladakh's long-term future.
