Gehlot appeals CPI-M MLAs to defeat communal forces

Jaipur, June 17 (PTI) Making his last ditch efforts to reach to CPI-M MLAs before ending of RS voting, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today appealed to the three Left party MLAs, who abstained from voting, to cast their vote to defeat the communal forces (BJP). "I have talked twice to the CPI-M legislative party leader Amra Ram to vote in favour of Congress supported Independent candidate Santosh Bagrodia in today''s election", Gehlot told reporters after casting his vote at Assembly premises here. "There is still some time left for completion of voting.You may never know, they (CPI-M MLAs) may come and vote", Gehlot said. "There may be conflicts of ideology in political parties but we all should work for secularism and oppose communalism," Gehlot said in his appeal to the Left party MLAs. "If they come and vote, a very good message would go to people against communal forces," Gehlot said. When asked was there any horse trading to muster votes, Gehlot said Congress doesn''t even think of that. Congress as a National decorum to reject such practice. In the 200 member Rajasthan assembly, CPI-M MLAs has three MLAs.
