Kasaragod (Ker), May 17 (PTI) A five-year-old girl drowned and around 15 persons were injured today when a suspension bridge across a river collapsed in Panathur, about 70 kms from here. The incident occurred when a group of people taking part in a funeral procession entered the suspension bridge across Pavithramkayam river, police said. The body of Aishwarya Thomas (5) was fished out from the river, while others swam to safety. Fire Force personnel assisted by the police and locals conducted search operations in the river.
