Govt committed to fight communal forces: Moily

Solapur, May 28 (PTI) Proposed Communal Violence Bill will help the Government in effectively fighting fundamental forces in the country, Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily said today. The Centre will not allow the fascists and communal forces to raise their head. The Communal Violence Bill has been proposed to fight such forces and it would soon become a law, he told reporters here in Western Maharashtra. He said it is the duty of the states to curb communal violence, terrorism and Naxal activities. "We have laws, but there should be will power to keep in check these forces." The Union Home Ministry is looking into financial sources of terror and Naxal outfits, the Minister said. Moily said there will be no delay in punishing Ajmal Kasab, awarded death penalty in 26/11 Mumbai attacks case, and the court order fill be fast tracked. "Within a year, Kasab will be hanged." Many improvements have been done in national security apparatus and state have been empowered to deal with terrorist activities, he said.
