Mumbai, June 17 (ANI): Heavy rains in Maharashtra disrupted the normal life on Wednesday, claiming 46 lives. The rains with lightening caused flash floods, uprooted trees and damaged more than 600 homes. The heavy rains, accompanied by gusty winds also crippled road, rail and air traffic. Bhujbal also said that the Navy and Air force are on high alert, and the National Disaster Force is active as well. The Maharashtra government has declared a compensation of Rs 100,000 for the kin of those killed in the rains.
