Hussey leads Australia recovery after poor start

News posted by www.newsinfoline.com

Michael Hussey struck a sparkling 47 to help Australia recover from a poor start and reach 141 for seven against Bangladesh in their Twenty20 World Cup Group A match on Wednesday. The one-day world champions were reeling at 65 for six after fine bowling and fielding from Bangladesh with two wickets apiece for Mashrafe Mortaza and Shakib Al Hasan.Bangladesh, who have lost their last 11 matches in the game's shortest format, failed to make the most of that outstanding start, however, as Hussey and Steven Smith put on 74 in seven overs.Australia, without injured seamer Mitchell Johnson, need victory to be sure of a place in the Super Eight stage.(Reporting by Simon Evans in Bridgetown; editing by Ed Osmond; to query or comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)
