Displaying remarkable flying skills, Indian Air Force pilots helped in evacuating a police constable, severely injured in an encounter with terrorists, from the rooftop of a house in Reasi area of Jammu."After being asked to evacuate the injured Jammu and Kashmir police constable, a Cheetah helicopter from our Udhampur-based flight was sent to Khor village near Reasi on Saturday evening," IAF officials said.Due to the fading light and step-farming in the area, our choppers were finding it difficult to land there, they added."Facing difficulties there, chopper's Captain Wing Commander S Chaturvedi decided to hover over the roof of an abandoned house while copilot, Squadron Leader H S Cheema skilfully slithered down to pick up the injured police personnel," officials said. From there, the chopper flew to Jammu and the injured constable was then admitted to the civil hospital for urgent medical attention, they added.
