New Delhi, Jun 16 (PTI) J M Phatak was today appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Rural Electrification Corporation. A 1978-batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, Phatak was Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. His appointment was cleared by Appointments Committee of Cabinet, an official statement said here.
