Jordan imports sexual enhancers worth over $2 million

Amman, May 10 (IANS) Annual import of artificial sexual enhancers crossed $2 million in Jordan, where more than half of men above the age of 30 suffer from impotency and other sexual problems, Xinhua news agency reported.According to official figures, Jordanians spent about 1.5 million Jordanian dinars (about $2.2 million) in 2009 on imported sexual enhancers.The figures, released by the state-run Jordan Food and Drug Administration Sunday indicated that the Arab kingdom imported about 250,000 packets of sexual performance enhancers last year.A study by Jordan University for Science and Technology indicated that 51 percent of Jordanian men above the age of 30 suffer from sexual problems, including impotence.According to Jordan's Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Genetics, 63 percent of Jordanian men who are diagnosed with diabetes have sexual problems.
