Suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner Lalit Modi has sought an extension till Saturday to file his replies to the cricket board's chargesheet and the BCCI is likely to adhere to his requests.According to close BCCI sources, Modi has asked for an extension till May 15th to prepare his replies against the 22 charges levelled against him and the cricket board in all probability will hand him the five-day extension.Sources close to Modi also confirmed that the suspended IPL chief has sought for some extra time to prepare his case as the deadline for filing the reply ends today."He has asked for some documents from the BCCI to file his replies but has not got them yet. So he has sought an extension from the BCCI pending the receipt of the said documents," said sources close to Modi.Modi was suspended on April 26, soon after the conclusion of the IPL III final in Navi Mumbai by BCCI which sent him a showcause notice asking him to reply to a slew of charges relating to the conduct of the high-profile Twenty20 league.Modi was alleged to have indulged in murky financial deals without the knowledge of the IPL Governing Council, bid-rigging and of behavioural pattern which was not acceptable.
