Aizawl, May 15 (PTI) Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla today announced that Education Minister Lalsawta''s resignation has not been accepted and he would resume work from Monday. The chief minister praised Lalsawta for his uprightness and sense of responsibility and said he had not accepted the minister''s resignation. Lalsawta had tendered his resignation on May 11 owning moral responsibility for mistakes in the recent technical entrance tests for filling the state quota in technical institutions in the country. Officials of technical wing of state higher and technical education department were responsible for the declaration of incorrect results and mistakes in marks evaluation and tabulation, Thanhawla said. He alleged the officials of deliberately committing the mistakes to malign the government''s reputation as they were loyal to the previous Mizo National Front (MNF) government. The chief minister also ordered a re-evaluation and re-tabulation of the results which would be done by retired bureaucrat H Raltawna and prominent academicians L N Tluanga and Hom Choudhury.
