London, June 17 (ANI): A British man came within half an inch of losing a testicle when he got a Brazilian wax done in a pub by his mates to help raise fund for a local hospital.Joe Cooper, 24, and ten male pals had agreed to go for the girls-only beauty therapy for money, but while the others just had their chests waxed, the steel erector decided to have the "male Brazilian" wax.Onlookers placed bids to pull the strips off in the charity event at The Trees pub in Birstall, Leicester.But things did not go very well for Cooper when one of the strips stuck to a very sensitive spot - and an over-energetic tug tore off six of his seven layers of skin."The other blokes wimped out but I said I'd do it," the Sun quoted Cooper as saying."I lay down and closed my eyes and the next thing I know I'm in horrendous pain and bleeding. I've never known pain like it."It sobered me up straight away. My groin looked horrible. It was red raw and burning."One of the peelers just got too enthusiastic and he was pretty apologetic afterwards."I ended up at the hospital. You can imagine how much everyone was laughing at me. It was ironic."I was meant to be helping them - and they ended up helping me. They told me if any more skin had come off, that would have been it. I was very lucky really," he revealed.Cooper and his friends have raised about 3,000 pounds for the children's ward at Leicester Royal Infirmary. (ANI)
