According to police, Anees with the help of Devender, Imran, Santosh, Gaurav and Rohit had allegedly shot dead his brother-in-law Shakeel in Preet Vihar area on June 15. Anees, who was a childhood friend of Shakeel, had strained relations with him for last couple of years since he married his elder sister Shakila against the wishes of her family members. "About two years back, Shakeel had made an attempt to kill Anees and had shot him in his head but he survived," an officer said.
