MDU gets tough with colleges accepting donation in appointment

News posted by

Jhajjar (Haryana), June 17 (PTI) Government-run Maharshi Dayanand University has issued stern warning to colleges that their affiliation could be cancelled if found accepting donation in appointment of teachers and non-teaching staff. In pursuance of the warning, the Rohtak based university recently issued a show cause notice to PKSD College, Kanina (Mohindergarh) asking it to explain why its provisional affiliation be not withdrawn in view of its involvement in "unlawful" and "undesirable" activities like taking donation for appointments. The show cause was served on the basis of an inquiry report of a university team which found that 12 out of 14 appointments were made on payment of money, university sources said today.
