MKU bags Rs 100 cr tender from Home Ministry

MKU has bagged the prestigious tender for 59,000 bulletproof jackets for the central paramilitary forces especially CRPF.MKU has been awarded this tender by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), worth more than 100 Crores, making it one of the biggest tender of its kind in recent times.MKU was short listed out of 9 companies as the best Ballistic Protection Equipment provider. MKU's new generation of PPE will be evaluated and will undergo very strict ballistic testing procedures formulated by BPR&D in close cooperation with DRDO.Consequent to the mayhem of Nexals in Dantewada last month and subsequent high level decisions adopted by the UPA Govt. to strengthen and give more teeth to the police forces under Ministry of Home, ushers an era in modernization as well as providing the much needed heightened protection to its forces who are continuously under threat of anti national forces, dawns the advent of one of the largest procurements of Bullet Proof Jackets till date.MHA has asked MKU to deliver all the jackets in the next 8 months and it is likely that first lot of jackets will be delivered to CRPF by the next month. Mr. Ruchir Shah, marketing head, MKU Pvt. Ltd said, "as industry innovators & leaders we have worked out a design and solution which will surpass the stringent specifications of the tenders and in terms of comfort, ergonomics & ballistic protection from all perceived threats, and we are confident to deliver full consignment within the time frame."
