London, June 20 (ANI): British tennis star Andy Murray has appealed to football fans not to be too hard on star England striker Wayne Rooney in the wake of his dismissive remarks following Friday's drawn match against Algeria."When you are sort of in the heat of the moment, when things haven't gone as you would have liked, you can say things you don't necessarily mean," The Scotsman quoted Murray as saying of Rooney.On goalkeeper Green, who was responsible for USA's equaliser in England's opening match, he said: "Everybody's been there and done it, you know, made bad mistakes."
