Raipur, May 4 (PTI) A naxalite was killed in an encounter with CRPF personnel in Chhattisgarh''s Bijapur district today. Superintendent of Police (Bijapur) Avinash Mohanty said about a dozen naxalites opened fire on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) team that was patrolling near Peddakodepal village in the district, to which the jawans retaliated. While others managed to flee, one was killed. The CRPF team recovered a country-made revolver, cartridges and a bow and arrow from the spot. Mohanty said blood marks from the encounter site indicate that more than one red rebel could have been killed.
