New Delhi, July 23 (PTI) Tracking firm trend overseas and strong domestic demand, nickel prices rose by Rs 29.40 to Rs 947.30 per kg in futures trading today. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for July-month rose Rs 29.40 or 3.20 per cent to Rs 947.30 per kg, with a turnover of 13,149 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in August-month gained Rs 28.50 or 3.08 per cent, to Rs 953.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,600 lots. Market analysts said besides firming trends in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange, strong demand from alloy-makers also influenced nickel prices at futures trade.
