U.S. President Barack Obama said an investigation into an attempted car bombing at Times Square will seek to determine if a suspect in the case had links to foreign extremist groups.Speaking about the Saturday night incident after a suspect was arrested on Monday, Obama said "justice will be done" in the case and vowed the United States will not be intimidated. "We will not cower in fear," he said.Faisal Shahzad, 30, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Pakistan, was arrested late on Monday at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York as he tried to take a flight to Dubai.Obama said the FBI and related investigative agencies have the experience to interrogate Shahzad. Obama had come under fire from Republicans for letting the alleged bomber of a Detroit-bound plane on Christmas Day be questioned by the FBI instead of intelligence experts. He said the probe will seek to determine "what if any connection this individual has to terrorist groups and it includes collecting critical inteligence as we work to disrupt any future attacks.""This incident is another sobering reminder of the times in which we live," Obama said.(Reporting by Steve Holland and Matt Spetalnick; Editing by Doina Chiacu)
