Punjab to spend Rs 320 cr on healthcare facilities

Chandigarh, May 15 (PTI) Punjab government today approved a Rs 320 crore plan for the construction of new hospitals and upgradation of existing hospitals in the state to provide modern health care facilities to people. A decision to this effect was taken by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while presiding over a review meeting of the health and Family Welfare Department here, said an official release. Chief Minister asked the Delhi-based Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation (HSCC) to submit its final design and concept report for various hospitals within three months, so that work on the project could be allotted by the end of September.
