Kota, Jun 18 (PTI) Rajasthan Police chief has attributed the recent incident of torture of a 73-year-old man by police at Dholpur village to "lack of proper training". "If such instances took place it was mainly due to lack of proper training to the police personnel and absence of devotion to duty amongst them," Rajasthan DGP Harish Chandra Meena told reporters here yesterday. The old man, allegedly involved in a burglary, was tied and hung from a tree last week outside the police station in Dholpur by three policemen, including the SHO, who were later suspended. Meena said a decision has been taken to give proper training to police personnel to abjure use of third degree while conducting any investigation or inquiry.
