Risk of UK airspace closure due to volcanic ash - govt

Parts of British airspace may have to close from Sunday until Tuesday due to volcanic ash from Iceland, the government said on Saturday.Different parts of airspace including the south east, where Europe's busiest airport Heathrow is located, are likely to be closed at different times, the Department for Transport said."NATS - the UK's air traffic services provider - will advise of any airspace closures as and when they become necessary," Transport Minister Philip Hammond said in a statement.(Reporting by Kylie MacLellan; Editing by Charles Dick)
