Equities fell 1.7 per cent early on Monday, with Reliance Industries and Infosys Technologies leading the decline, as world stocks dropped on worries over euro zone debt concerns.At 9:01 a.m., the Sensex was down 1.69 per cent at 16,707.10 points, all of its components declining.Reliance Communications, India's No. 2 mobile phone operator, was down 2.4 per cent at Rs 141.10 even after reporting a smaller-than-expected 16 per cent fall in quarterly profit over the weekend.The 50-share NSE Index was down 1.7 per cent at 5,008.20.
