Kolkata, Jun 17 (PTI) Trinamool Congress today sought the intervention of West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan into an alleged scam in allotment of industrial land by the Left Front government after the last year''s Lok Sabha elections. Senior party leader Partha Chatterjee, who led a delegation to the Governor, said they had demanded that the state government be asked to furnish a list of land allotted for setting up industrial units since the 2009 general polls. "There has been rampant corruption in allotment of industrial land originally meant for setting up units and for commercial purposes in total violation of prescribed norms," Chatterjee, the Leader of the Opposition, said. Chatterjee also alleged that law and order in the state had deteriorated with police failing to take any decisions. Trinamool boycotted a meeting of the State Security Commission during the day on the ground that the Commission did not follow the Supreme Court directives, he said. In 2006, the apex court had directed all states to form a security commission for ensuring accountability and neutrality of police, as well as for security purposes.
