Two killed in stampede in New Delhi train station

Two people were killed and about 15 injured in a stampede on Sunday in New Delhi's main train station, when passengers rushed to board a Patna-ound train after the platform number was suddenly changed.The train station was crowded with families going on summer holidays at the time, police said, and the stampede occurred as people carrying bags pushed and jostled to get to the platform."Two persons have been killed and 15 were injured. We are still receiving information. We are setting up an inquiry into the incident," Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee told reporters.New Delhi is building flyovers and stadia and revamping its airport and stations as it prepares to host the Commonwealth Games in October.(Reporting by Rina Chandran)
