Dehradun, May 16 (PTI) Two suspected poachers were arrested with leopard skin in Bajpur town of Udhamsingh Nagar district, police said today. Mahesh and Suresh, both residents of neighbouring Champawat district, were arrested yesterday following a tip-off. The duo were suspiciously roaming around in Doraha area when police stopped them. They tried to flee but were caught and two leopard skin were recovered from their possession, police said. On interrogation, the accused told the police that they had killed two leopards nearly seven months ago and now they were going to sell their skins to a person in Moradabad town in Uttar Pradesh. The accused have been booked under Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
