Ludhiana, Jun 17 (PTI) The BSP today accused the Union government of failing to tackle terrorism and Naxalism and said it would launch in July a nation-wide campaign on the key issues facing the country. "Congress-led UPA government at the Centre has failed in tackling terrorism and Naxalism. They are spreading their network all over the country, but the government appears to be oblivious to the gravity of the situation," BSP General Secretary Narinder Kashyap told reporters here. Kashyap, also incharge of organisational affairs of the Punjab unit of BSP, said in Punjab, photographs of militants could be seen on vehicles plying on the roads. To a question, the BSP MLA alleged all promises made by the government on controlling prices seemed to be hollow and baseless as no steps had been initiated so far. The BSP would launch a ''Jan Jagran'' campaign on these burning issues in July, he added. Kashyap alleged, "Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav was gradually losing his popularity in the state and becoming irrelevant to Uttar Pradesh politics because of his increasing involvement in nepotism and family interests".
